2018F01 - Management control systems and audit quality (PhD program: University of Groningen)

What?

In this PhD-study, we propose to examine the effect of management control systems, as an audit firm characteristic, on audit quality. While many organisations have competing goals, this is particularly true for audit firms as their goals are complex and there is an inherent tension between commercial and professional objectives.

Why?

The PhD project intends to provide insights into the interplay and balance between the levers of management control. By doing so, this research will also help in developing the auditing profession.
