Dr. Arnt Verriest is an Associate Professor of Accounting at KU Leuven, Faculty of Business and Economics, and serves as Campus Dean at KU Leuven’s Kulak Kortrijk Campus. His research focuses on financial reporting quality, corporate governance, and non-IFRS financial reporting, with a particular interest in how institutional environments and governance mechanisms influence disclosure practices and firm behavior.He earned his Master’s in Business Economics from KU Leuven and was a visiting PhD student at the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago. Before joining KU Leuven, he held academic positions at EDHEC Business School (France) and Tilburg University (Netherlands). His work has been published in leading journals such as the European Accounting Review, Journal of International Accounting Research, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, and Management Accounting Research.Dr. Verriest regularly contributes to research projects on ESG information quality and corporate governance and has presented at major international conferences.
