Professor

Kristof Stouthuysen is Full Professor of Management Accounting and AI-driven Finance at Vlerick Business School, where he also serves as Partner and Director of the Centre for Financial Leadership and Digital Transformation. He is a Professor at KU Leuven and Visiting Professor at IESE Business School. Kristof earned his PhD in Applied Economic Sciences from KU Leuven and completed the International Teachers Programme at London Business School. His research focuses on management accounting, digital transformation of finance, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve financial decision-making. He has published in leading academic journals and received Vlerick’s Best Researcher Award in 2019. Kristof teaches in Masters, MBA, and executive programs and has won multiple best teacher awards.
