Vlad-Andrei Porumb is Associate Professor (Reader) of Accounting at Alliance Manchester Business School and Director of the Centre for the Analysis of Investment Risk. He previously served as Assistant Professor in Accounting at the University of Groningen. Vlad earned his PhD in Accounting from Université de Cergy-Pontoise and ESSEC Business School. His research focuses on the impact of accounting, auditing, and banking regulation on earnings quality and debt contracting, as well as sustainability reporting and the space economy. He has published in leading journals such as Contemporary Accounting Research, Strategic Management Journal, European Accounting Review, and Journal of Banking & Finance.
