Inez Verwey is an Associate Professor at Nyenrode Business University in the Center for Accounting, Auditing & Controlling. Her research focuses on auditing, professional skepticism, and ethical decision-making in the context of fraud detection. She has published in journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics and Maandblad voor Accountancy en Bedrijfseconomie, with work examining the joint effect of ethical idealism and trait skepticism on auditors’ ability to detect fraud.
In addition to her academic role, Inez actively contributes to research on auditors’ perceptions of fraud and behavioral aspects of audit qualit
