FAR awards first Tombstone for successful archival data delivery

Gathering large quantities of archival data for scientific research is a hard, important, but often under-appreciated job. The FAR Liaisons burdened with this task often face conflicting priorities, work-overload and push-back from their colleagues. Nevertheless, providing unique archival data to research is critical to understanding the drivers of audit quality and performing highly relevant research. The complete datasets have up to millions of unique data points. The final delivery of archival data after various rounds of discussing the data structure, piloting and quality review rounds is a big milestone for FAR, the firms and the research teams.

To acknowledge the people involved in gathering the data, FAR decided to award Tombstones for successful delivery of high-quality archival data. The first of these Tombstones was awarded to Chantal de Bruin of Deloitte. She and her team were critical in making the data delivery of two big archival projects a success. FAR is looking forward to awarding the next Tombstones in the upcoming period.
