Introduction of new FAR employee Joris Roosen, FAR Program Coördinator
Since September 2019 I have been working as a Program Coördinator for the Foundation for Auditing Research. My day-to-day tasks revolve mainly around the gathering, archiving and disseminating of (archival) audit data. An economic historian by trade, I have spent the last four years conducting research into the socio-demographic impact of the Black Death. This research culminated in a large-scale Digital Humanities project (The Black Death Digital Archive) that was organized in cooperation with the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University in April of 2019. I am excited about the unique research perspectives FAR can provide researchers by closely cooperating with major audit firms. It is my intent to consolidate data-gathering efforts by research associates and firms through the construction of a secure and reliable data archive.
